A Proud History of Design and Quality
A Future of Innovation
Entering our 100 year of precision instrument manufacturing,
Warren-Knight has designed and produced instruments for applications from
rough field surveying to sophisticated upper air monitoring systems. In our
early years, surveying instruments were our predominant focus. Transits, levels,
and field equipment were the mainstay of our business. Over the last few decades,
Warren-Knight has been called upon to apply our angle measuring, distance
measuring, and leveling capabilities in other fields of scientific inquiry,
discovery and research. Although we continue to manufacture transits, levels,
and alidades, the uses these instruments are put have changed over the years.
Warren-Knight Alidades are used to plot and map aerial and Global
Positioning Satellite data.
Warren-Knight Transits are used for ship and aircraft alignment as well as
in steel mills and glass plants worldwide.
Warren-Knight Weather Balloon Theodolites track air movements to enable meteorologists
and scientists to monitor local weather conditions, predict pollution, and anticipate
severe weather conditions for people all over the world.
Warren-Knight Sight Clinometers collect the information small airports need
to permit safe aviation in questionable weather. Custom modifications provide
militaries and aid organizations with go or no go information used by pilots
for low level helicopter landing and takeoffs from ships and jungles.
As we enter our centenarian year as a company, Warren-Knight is proud to report
that it maintains design and service capabilities in precision alignment, tracking,
weather, aviation, and provides calibration for domestic and international research
institutes and universities. The U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, ICAO, NOAA,
NATO, militaries world-wide, and all commercial industry rely on Warren-Knight
for precision alignment and sighting.
We proved custom solutions and stock products that can be delivered quickly
to anywhere in the world. Land, sea, or air…we position, align and find…when
you think of precision instrumentation, think of Warren-Knight Instrument Co.
