Made with fiberglass dowels and cast aluminum hardware. Designed for strength, stability, resistance to twist, and good damping of vibrations. Although this alloy is slightly heavier than aluminum, it is stronger, wears better, and has a bearing surface as hard as cast iron. Length 42″ closed, 72″ open. Weight 17 lbs. Has 5/8″ x 11″ threads.
