• Tracking: Friction Drive of Telescope; No disengagement of worm drives needed for fast track operation.
• RS232-C Serial Port Interface
• Selectable Angle Reading Modes:
Swing Mode or Standard Mode
- Swing Mode causes automatic changes in electronic display. Allows Elevation angle to count down from 90 degrees elevation when 90 degrees elevation is past when tracking directly overhead. Azimuth angle will change 180 degrees from original reading when 90 degree elevation angle is reached.
- Standard Mode allows electronic display of angles over full range of 360 degrees in azimuth and approximately 210 degrees in elevation scales.
- Swing Mode Indicator shown on display
• Reticule:— Etched and Filled Glass with combination circle and open center cross pattern for effective day and night tracking. (Distant Balloon will not hide” behind reticule.)
- Optional “Tail Method” Reticule
• Illumination:
- On-board Red LED (Light Emitting Diode) Illumination of Level Vial, Reticule, LCD
- Automatic shut down of Illumination of level vial in 3 minutes
- Illumination Intensity: 3 levels
• Level Vials. - Plate Vial 60 Arc Seconds — Circular Vial. 8 Arc Minutes
• Lower Clamp for fast instrument orientation
• Handle: Hinged handle to aid in instrument movement and prevent loss of handle. One end of handle disengages and moves out of way of telescope operation.
• Sight: Peep Sight located on top of main telescope for quick target acquisition
• Optical Plummet (for use in place of Plumb bob)
• Power Requirement: 6 to 9 volts DC
• Power Source: - On board 4 AA batteries; alkaline or lithium can be used.
